Where do I even begin? Well I have found my blog and decided to pick it back up. I beat myself up for not keeping on top of it so that I could look back at the memories. But we can't take that back so I am here and ready to begin again and stay on top.
First welcome to 2012! I don't think I have blogged since the beginning of 2011 so there is a whole year to catch up on. So be prepared because this post will be pretty long...
We moved back to Mooresville in August of 2011 and found a beautiful house that not only fit us but the doggies too. It's beautiful and we really love it. Although we are renting we plan to buy in the near future we just don't know where we want to end up. Because buying a house isn't simple and you have to decided where you want to be permanent.
Doggies? Yes I mentioned doggies! We have 2 danes who have been in our life for about 3yrs now. We love them to pieces - well sometimes.
Princess is a 6 yr old blue dane who was once a breeder mama and was breed just to produce puppies. She was not a pet, just a money making machine to them. She produced a mass on her boob, which made her owner give her up for adoption because she could no longer give him what she needed. Tammy who is an amazing women rescued her, and I found her though craigslist. Tammy is a women who has rescued I think over like 50 danes and still does. Princess stole my heart right away, and I wanted to get her for Jacob for his birthday 3 yrs ago. That is his dog, she seriously loves him and follows him everywhere. She is our girl!
Mason is a 2yr old Harlequin Dane who is also a rescue from Tammy. Mason was bought as a show dog for I believe over $1000, and then they cropped his ears. Cropping his ears means they are permanently stuck up straight - yes he looks intimidating. But through out his growing he developed brown spots on his legs, and in the show ring that will get his disqualified. So the owner practically left him outside to starve & die. When Trisha who was the breeder found him he was pretty much skin and bones. Tammy had contacted me before Trisha got him and asked if we wanted another Dane and when we immediately saw his picture we said yes! It took a lot to get Mason but up to a good weight, and he had some attitude adjustment to be fixed. So yes both of our Danes are rescued and we would recommend always rescuing first!
Now on to my new beautiful car! I know I blogged about our car problems in the past where we could never ever get approved for a car and literally it took us years. We finally got approved about 2yrs ago for a new Honda Civic and we loved that car. But after a while we wanted to upgrade and get a more roomie car. So we traded in our civc for a new 2012 Honda Accord Special Addition - which I l-o-v-e! We got a great rate, and a great payment. We love this car and hoping to upgrade in a year maybe for a mini van? {Jake will kill me!}
Yes this is my 5 yr old! I cannot believe how fast the time has gone. My little baby is no longer a baby but a big growing boy! He will turn 6 in October and I just cry thinking about it! He has grown up so much its not even funny. He acts and looks just like his dad.
5 yr old in size 7-8 clothes, size 2 shoe and 62 lbs! Yes my child will hopefully be a line backer making mommy lots of money.
He has went through 2 yrs of pre-school and boy how that grew him up faster. He can write his ABC's, count to 100+, color in the lines, spell his name, knows his address & phone number & just so much more.
I cannot believe this year he will start kindergarten. I think that day my heart will leave me :(
Ohh and we cannot forget to mention that he lost his first tooth March 28th & then his second tooth on June 29th.
Me and Jacob are still happily married and will be forever. I couldn't have picked a better husband and father to Rhylan. He has been there ever step of the way and works so hard to provide for us. I sometimes wonder what I did to deserve him. He always puts us first, works his butt off, and gives us everything. Rhylan adores his daddy and looks up to him for so much.
I am still doing my coupon thing, and still run a big coupon blog that provides coupons & so much more. It has been a blessing in itself. It has allowed me to make a great income staying and home so that I don't have to work outside and away from Rhy.
We are trying to add to our family but at the moment its pretty hard. I was diagnosed with PCOS about 3yrs ago and its been a struggle. It has made me gain weight, become infertile, and so many other things. It has put a stop to trying to become pregnant. Lets just say its been an emotional roller-coster. I will have to make that a whole separate blog because there is so much more I could touch on.
The good thing is a great friend of mine had a beautiful baby girl and she has fixed my baby fever. I love her like she is my own child, and Uncle Jake does too. Rhylan adores her, and I know he will make a perfect brother one day. She is the cutest thing, but pretty spoiled. You can check out her Mamas blog here.
So I think that is our life at this point now. So many things have changed in the past year with family, friends, and life but they said it happens for a reason. I am praying I will stay on top of this blog so that I can use it as a diary, or even just to glance back to remember old times. So stick around for more pictures & post!
