I am not sure if anyone remembers me blogging or knows about baby Kaleb. About 4yrs ago he was shaken by his babysitter & almost killed. He just turned 5yrs old but had the mind and body of a 6-9month old. The babysitter pretty much took the life out of his body & make his family suffer with his injuries. I had the awesome privilege to fundraiser for him family and raise them a ton of money. I also had the privilege to fly down & meet the family and spend a couple of hours with Kaleb. I will never forget his cute little face & his amazingly strong family. His family has been through a lot but they have received 2 miracle babies after kaleb. Last year the babysitter finally pleaded guilty to shaking him but she only got i believe 16months in prison. To me that is not enough, she took an innocent life away.
I don't really talk to the family much but do keep in touch through facebook. The last we has spoke Kaleb was doing really well & striving in everything. Well this past weeks Kaleb has been really sick and unable to breath great on his on and on oxygen. Then the sad news came tonight when the mother announced on facebook that Kaleb has gone to be with Jesus & is now pain-free. Its very heartbreaking because kaleb & his family have been through soo much! I am sad but also happy that he is painfree & running with jesus.
Please say a prayer for everyone involved!

I was just added to a group on FB called "Prayers for baby Jayden" he is only 3 months old and I am not related or personally know this family but he too is a victim of Shaken Baby Syndrome.. He also has 7 broken ribs.. I wish there was more I could do for this family.. I added people to the group with their permission to say prayers and show support for the lil guy.. I think what you did for Kaleb and his family is amazing!! I hope the person responsible for baby Jayden gets longer then 16 months in prison.. You are 100% in your comment where the life was taken from that lil boy, a precious lil angel that has no defense mechanism at such a vulnerable age.. My prayers are with the Young family, the family of Jayden and other families out there that have gone through this. Just not right..
