Got up at 9:30am
Wow its been a long time since i have woke at this time!
We left and went across the street to a mexican place.
Ehh it was okay, not that amazing.
Then we got to talking about coupons, and how i miss my coupons!
I almost called jake to have him send them to me.
But i will be okay!
So we found the newspaper building and went and bought sunday papers! LOL
Then we headed to the Commissary.
Whats that you ask?
Its their own store! Tax free too!
And the best part....They have coupons everywhere!
Now i am not just talking about coupons here and there. I mean you walk into the door and you can see about 5000 coupons! They almost have a coupon on every shelf under every product!
I was in heaven!
Then their prices are awesome, and if i had brought my coupons i could have gotten tons free!
Ughh makes me just want to take a vacation back here just to stop there!
Then Ashley gave me a mini tour of the base.
Jason her husband got off and we headed to texas!
Yup the border is just 20min away and they have the best bbq they said.
We ate there and it wasn't that amazing. I really could have done without.
But it was good bbq that Louisiana doesn't have :)
I then started to to talk to her husband about the air force and learned lots of interesting things.
So many that i talked to jake tonight about it and enlisting.
We have thought about it in the past, and i always said no.
But now living this experience its amazing. Not the part about them going away but the benefits and base life. This is like a big community that supports everyone! I mean you don't even have to go off base they have everything here in this gated place
Grocery stores, gas stations, restaurants, free daycare, free everything.
I love that every time you enter you have to show your ID and that itself makes me feel very safe to stay here, even safer then my house at home!
I really love it and could get used to this!
I know i am crazy!
Being around this family and around Riley makes me grateful that my son is healthy. Ashley is a super mom, and i told her tonight i dont know how she does it. Goes back and forth all day!
So now i lay here in bed. Not tired but really need to get to sleep!
Tomorrow we are going to watch the big airplanes take off, and of course more shopping!
Anyways...
Today is mine and jakes 3yr anniversary!
Sad i am not there but he knows i love him!
Life with him has been amazing, he is the best father and husband i could ask for!
