Baby Disco!

Such a fun thing that was brought here to Mooresville. One of the mommies on my mommy board got into this awesome business. I got to work at it and it was a blast! It’s pretty much self explanatory. They take a huge teen club and turn it into a baby club. Baby proof and everything! They had a huge dance floor, food, toy room, arcade all kinds of things. It was so fun and Rhy had a blast! It’s coming back at the end of March and April! I advise all moms with kiddos to come!

I have to post about Rhylan’s 1st big boo-boo. The other day he was running around the house carrying his blanket. He was running in the hallway and tripped and fell with his blanket and flew into the corner of the wall with his head. He ended up with a huge dent like boo-boo on his head. At first it looked like it had a big gash, but it was from all the blood flow that came to the surface. Poor thing I couldn’t even look at it I gave him to daddy and put some ice on it. He did ok, he did cry but I would have too! It got better within the next couple of days. The pics I took of it doesn’t show it too well, it was a lot worse then the pictures show.

So I just thought that I would brag about rhylan tonight. I can’t believe my son is getting so big so fast! He just turned 16 months on the 20th. But one thing I do want to brag about is that he has such good speech and vocabulary! I can’t believe the things that he says. This kid will pretty much repeat everything you say! And the thing is, is that he can pronounce them so well like he has been saying them for years! My mom was telling me tonight how she is so happy that the talks so well he will never have to go to speech class. He says almost everything like mom dad cat dog horse hi bye bath grandma papa Dalton wheels tires car truck…etc. I mean t his kid amazes me everyday. It’s like something new. I am so proud that he is so smart! He is going to be the next president! I can’t believe that it has been 16 months, it just feels like yesterday he was born and now he is turning into a little boy! I did sit him on his little potty and see what his reaction would be. He didnt like it! He just wanted to open and close the lid. So i guess we are still looking at another year before that happens :]

Whats sleep?

Why can’t I sleep? Will someone please ask the sleep man?
No matter how hard I try to sleep it doesn’t happen. I am so tired but I never can seem to settle myself down to sleep. It stinks! I hate that when I wake in the morning with rhylan I am still exhausted because I stayed up till 4am that night! I hate it, I want to so bad have energy in the morning to get up with my son and go do fun things but I cant! I can’t sleep and I hate it! Being addicted to my mommy group doesn’t help me either! I have to read every new post before I can even get off the computer! But will out that mommy group I would be crazy. It has really helped me, I love the moms! I love asking and giving advice! It’s just a nice thing; I wish every mom had a chance to have a local board because they are very useful. So besides sleeping I haven’t been doing really nothing, just spending time with my son. He is growing up so fast it’s sad. He is such a talker, and even though you can’t understand half of what he says I just go along with him. He knows all his body parts and can count to 3. He even knows to kiss my picture when I am not home at bedtime. He can pretty much do anything you ask him, like go get the diaper or give that to daddy. It’s amazing that he understands so much at 16months old! He is going to be very smart! I just love him to pieces. He makes me, me. I’m so lucky to have such a wonderful son. Even though sometimes he makes me go crazy I love him more then anything!

Update Feb 7th 2008

So I haven’t updated in a while…..
So things here are pretty much the same. I am 21!!! Finally….we went out for drinks and I didn’t get drunk, got more of a headache! It sucked!
Rhylan will be turning 16months here on the 20th, and boy his is showing his colors.
He has the biggest attitude, and I don’t think that grandma spoiling him makes it any better. He’s started to talk more and we understand him better.
Jake is still working at the shop and got his job back at the auto bell for a second job. Money got tight and he stepped up to the plate! Our family is doing just fine!
Rhylan got his first haircut! It is so cute, and he did so well!! He looks like a little teenager now! He also had his valentine’s pictures done this Saturday and they turned out so cute! I swear time goes by so fast, he will be 5 before I know it!
